Dan Strollo - President

At the age of 13, Dan found himself partially ejected from a vehicle that had struck a tree at 35 mph. Shaken up, but not seriously injured he walked from the field at his grandparent’s farm to find his cousin to help him tow the car away. “My introduction to driving was a little unique by today’s standards. Long before I had my license, I spent summers with my grandparents who owned a large garage. My uncle would tow in abandoned cars from the highway and after 30 days we would own them. My cousin and I would fix them up and drive around in the fields. One day I wanted to see what it was like to hit a tree, so I did.”

With over 25 years of driving experience, Dan has not had another crash since. “That experience gave me a lot more respect for what could happen in a car. I remember just a few years later, driving with my friends and refusing to speed up to catch up with the convey of high school kids roving the streets of Lexington looking for something to do. Once you’ve crashed, you don’t want to do that again.”

Dan is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He helped start both a video production and professional photography company before beginning a career with a small car rental company that had recently opened in Massachusetts. Nearly four years later, Dan was a Director of Marketing at Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s corporate headquarters in St. Louis. Dan returned to the Boston in 2002 and continued to consult for Enterprise as well as a number of small to medium sized companies looking for Marketing & Technology help. Additionally, Dan took on some endeavors in the construction industry where he was a deployment champion for 6 Sigma Caterpillar project.

Four years and three children later, Dan was approached to offer some marketing advice to In Control. “After spending a few days working with Brandon and the rest of the crew, I had more ideas than they would be able to afford to implement. As a result, they did what any smart business person would do and convinced me to come on board.”

With more than a decade of sales experience and an entrepreneurial spirit, Dan brings solid business knowledge to help In Control introduce their much needed services to the New England area and beyond. When not working or playing with his kids, Dan tries to catch up on sleep lost from having an infant in the family for the past four years. He enjoys boating, gadgets and tackling the never ending home improvement projects his beautiful bride throws at him.
