Brandon Bogart
"Driving is like the ocean—powerful and dangerous and able to kill you in an instant. And yet, few give it the
respect it deserves. The crash epidemic—43% of all first year drivers—is overlooked or ignored, when for less
time than a soccer tournament and less money than music lessons, parents CAN protect their kids."
Brandon Bogart has been teaching advanced driving techniques since 1999. He is a professional racecar and motorcycle
driver, having earned a Grand-Am Cup endurance road racing license and graduating early with distinction from Sports Car Club
of America’s licensing program.
A tremendous amount of Brandon’s time and energy is directed toward new teenage drivers, the segment he considers most
“at risk” and that which reaps the greatest benefits from advanced driver training. As a young driver, Brandon
considered himself invincible, failing to comprehend the consequences of irresponsible driving habits and amassing four speeding
tickets (two of them high-risk) in as many years. Ironically it was his racing training that led him to an epiphany. The more
he learned about controlling the car on the track, the greater respect he had for driving on the open road and the more responsible
a driver he became.
This insight is used as the basis for In Control’s Advanced Driver Training curriculum, for which Brandon is responsible
for maintaining. His methodology focuses not only on showing new drivers how to respond effectively to road conditions, but
also teaching them the lifetime skills and permanent attitudes that make them safer drivers. He personally trains each of
the instructors in the company’s unique techniques and conducts many of the training sessions himself.
At only 28 years of age, Brandon already has extensive experience in driver instruction. He has trained hundreds of law enforcement
professionals including state and local police at the Vermont Police Academy and emergency response teams, such as fireman,
ambulance crews and Department of Public Works employees. In addition, Brandon helped develop ongoing driver training programs
for an assortment of agencies including the Vermont Police Academy and Nashua Police Department.
Prior to opening In Control Advanced Driver Training, Brandon was the feature instructor for the Sports Car Driving Association,
and a driver instructor for Mercedes, Porsche and BMW Club, where he demonstrated the cars’ capabilities. His first
venture into driver training was with Stevens Advanced Driver Training LLC, where he served for three years as Operations
Manager, co-developing company policies, training manuals, operations manuals, and the employee handbook.
Currently, Brandon also owns BB Racing, an amateur auto race team that competes on the East Coast. He attended the University
of Vermont, pursuing a BS in Business Management. Brandon is single and lives in South Hampton, NH.
